Current Education System of Pakistan

Current Education System of Pakistan

For any developing, country education has always been a key factor. If people are educated, they can take part in country’s progress. Talking about our current education system of Pakistan, we can easily say that we are lacking in many terms. In simple words, we have partitioned ourselves in sectors i.e., Government sector and Private sector. Both sectors are having a huge difference in their current education systems, fee structures, teaching methods, facilities etc. Private sectors are expanding their selves on a global level and to some extent; they are probably excelling in accomplishing it too, but in the comparison with Government Sector, alas! It is struggling.
Private Sector focuses on extra-curricular activities as well as renovation of their schools with the help of extra high budget they loot from poor parents, by making them fools. They are not facing budget issues right now. Especially they conduct seminars to work on students personalities. According to them, these activities are necessary to shape their characters. So that they can be eligible to compete easily with the world on the International level. Here I’m not talking about personality as a physical appearance; personality itself is a collection of moral values which has a great influence on the behavior's, characters, and education. Schools build personalities with all these additional characteristics, and let the countries help to move forward one step at international level. In contrast with government schools they are facing budget issues as well as they do not have such kind of mechanism that could take initiative and put effort on such things which cause majority students of Northern Areas of Pakistan to be deprived of the facility of basic education, let alone advanced. The major differences that I’m observing nowadays are heart wrenching. One of them is, private schools are using LEDs and Graphics to demonstrate the depth of any lesson of any subject. And in another scenario, if you visit any low budgeted government school, you will see they have to use Blackboards. They don’t have any concept of projectors, or demonstrative education.
Pakistan has great talent no doubt, but for the betterment of Pakistan both sectors need to work together. They should come up with great ideas. Both sectors need to eradicate this discrimination for the sake of the future of Pakistan. Media need to pay attention to this practice. Because this has become a culture which is spoiling the future of many students of those who can’t afford such high budgeted schools, such standards, opportunities and having a lack of confidence as well. I wish this would happen soon in the future.
